The studio and living loft LL40 was designed according to the principle of Wabi Sabi. Wabi-Sabi does not denote a style, but rather a feeling. This feeling is a foundation of the Japanese aesthetic sensibility. Some understand it to mean a longing for simplicity and an appreciation of imperfection. Black kitchen with stainless steel cover, inclusion of concrete slices in the color composition, mobile home office element painted black, upcycling of antique furniture in black finish.

Shop design as an opportunity to place service, experience and exhibition in a contemporary context, especially in the time of online shopping, new concepts represent an opportunity for shop owners. The metaphor of the eye served as part of the design concept. Pressure, tensions, transparency, gaps and connections as performance characteristics served the DNA of the design.

Bijouterie Stadelmann was faced with a generational change, new public was to be attracted not only by new products but also by a new store concept. Instead of just a sales area, the shop was also to serve as an inviting gallery. The presentation of the jewellery was also to be staged against the outside world in a special way, as a new attraction for passers-by in the old town.

A different kind of loft conversion.

The Loft T11 stands for the current topic of compaction. It is the roof extension of an apartment building in the Rossfeld district of Berne. A continuous strip of light throws light from above into the special geometry of the interior. The system is conceived as a possible multiplier of the roof density for this multi-family house typology.

The renovation and conversion of the country house focused on the theme of the wall as a mediator, the dissolution of the structure, views and transparency. A façade that can be fully pulled out of the roof makes it possible to experience the extension in summer in a unique way with nature.

Conversion and renovation of a listed property from 1897, pool and parametrically developed pool wall made of fibre-reinforced concrete. The property has been restored to its original condition with regard to materials and space sequences, and the roof area has been converted into a spacious area with newly installed "light cannons" which bring the sunlight into the roof area in an exciting way.

Based on the volume and internal organisation of the former stable, a new building was added to the existing chalet as an extension, operationally and spatially connected. The old boards and elements of the stable were reused and form the facade including movable elements with which one can change light incidence, views and atmosphere.
